JOSEF MELTL

This is the Bavaria-partner of the first hour:
Meltl has been on board since 1978 and
has accompanied the yard though many
significant years of its history. In fact, Meltl
has also been a shareholder and, especially
during the early years, a vital source
of knowledge, experience and information.
Meltl sells the following types of Bavaria
Yachts: all sailing boats and, since 2014,
also the Nautitech catamarans. Meltl is
active in southern Germany, Austria and on
the Adriatic Sea in Slovenia, Croatia and
on the Italian coast from Venice to Trieste.
Mike Klemm reminds us of the early years:
“The Bavaria 960 and 1060 were sold at
the boat shows mainly though brochures.
After the turn of the millennium, the Cruiser
42 was very popular and remained in
the portfolio for 5 years, after the change
to Farr Yacht Design it was, for example,
the Cruiser 46. The classic line from 30
to 50 feet in length remains the basis for
successful yacht sales and the fact that
Bavaria Yachts remains true to their motto
“best value with very high quality” is equally
significant, and this is true for the entire
portfolio of yachts.” He continues: “If you
sell a brand for 40 years, then you are
simply convinced of the products, of the
building quality and of the models. It still is
remarkable how the yard manages to develop
new items in a very foresighted manner.
Take, for example, the large bathing
platforms which were integrated into the
production some years ago!” Despite this,
the yachts are often upgraded through the
dealer: “In the early days, the list of extras
was somehow brief, in those times we as
a dealer had to build in additional items
on nearly every yacht. Today, an extensive
list of options is available from the yard
which will fulfil most individual wishes of
the clients.” And this even when equipping
the boat for long voyages: “Just last year,
we sent spare parts to Valparaiso on the
Pacific coast of Chile!”

KIRIACOULIS MEDITERRANEAN
Kiriacoulis has been the Bavaria for Greece
and the South of France since 1989. In addition,
the company, which is also known as
one of the major charter operators, sells all
Bavaria models into charter fleets worldwide.
Which have been their best-sellers so
far? „The Bavaria 38 and Bavaria 44“, Fanis

features: Once, it was a Bavaria 455 with 5
