The three cabins of course fit nicely into this overall picture .
All are very well equipped, generous, bright and airy. Each cabin
does not only offer an extended double bed - the term "bunk"
doesn't do justice to what is offered - but even when the door is
closed there is enough freedom of movement and space. All in
all a great living ambience.
And how well it is described in the classic sailing-cookbook by
the two circumnavigators, Neil Hollander and Harald Mertes: The
chef is the captain! But also when moored the galley is more and
more often becoming the centre of social events. On board this
yacht, it was moved towards the mast. On the one hand, one
could optimize the living space with its various functions, but on
the other hand the galley uses the full width of the yacht here,
gaining a whole new dimension. There is an extractor hood and a
dishwasher, two refrigerators, a deep freezer, a fridge, a stove
test - BAVArIA C57
with oven and a microwave. Above all, there is an incredible
amount of work space, stowage for small and big things, even for
bottles, spices and glasses. Basically everything has been taken
into account here! And all this in such a way that it works both
underway at sea as well as in port.
This also applies to the integrated operating system from B & G,
with which "our" Bavaria C57 is equipped. An electronic switchboard
in the nav station and with operable displays at the steering
consoles, from where the entire yacht can be managed.
All functions can be controlled or seen from here, for example,
check the tank contents or battery levels, turn lights on and off,
regulate temperatures, search for errors, and more, but of
course navigating can also be done from here. A really exciting
and forward-thinking system that however, one must learn to
deal with at first rather intensively. But then it considerably
facilitates the on-board operation of all areas.
The Bavaria C57 is a great success and a quantum leap forward
in the development of the model range of sailing yachts from
Bavaria Yachts. A thoroughly modern vessel for many needs - sail
well and live well! - with a real "Big Boat Feeling" at a price that is
quite moderate when compared to other 16-meter yachts.
