Jill Beggs is president of excess
and surplus lines for Munich
Re Specialty Insurance, a new
commercial insurance unit of
Munich Reinsurance America
(Munich Re US) in North America.
In this new role, Beggs is responsible
for leading the excess and surplus
lines business, including property,
casualty and professional liability
offerings, and service solutions.
She is the executive sponsor of the
Young Professionals Employee Resource Group.
Prior to this role, Beggs was the head of new strategic markets where
she built the innovation practice responsible for driving innovation
efforts across the Munich Re US property and casualty operations.
Beggs also oversaw Corporate communications, the data hunting
team and cross-platform development, which focuses on developing
broader solutions to strengthen long-term client relationships.
Beggs was previously head of specialty lines underwriting in
the Reinsurance Division of Munich Re US where she managed a
portfolio of treaty and facultative ocean marine, surety, political risk
and trade credit reinsurance written in the US.
Prior positions included property underwriting manager for the
National Broker Clients Division, member of the Munich Re US
underwriting platform advisory board and lead for the property line
of business expert group, as well as a member of the global Munich Re
marine and credit boards.
Beggs is a graduate of Gettysburg College with a degree in finance
with a concentration in management and minors in math and Spanish.
She is a Chartered Property and Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) and
has earned the Associate in Reinsurance (ARe) designation. Beggs is
also a member of the Association of Professional Insurance Women
and the CPCU’s Central New Jersey Chapter.

Nancy Millette Bewlay is global

of AXA. She joined XL Catlin (now
AXA XL) in 2017 as the global chief
underwriting officer for casualty.
In her role, Bewlay was responsible
