Why did you choose to work in this industry?
After college, I wanted to work in any field that allowed me
with to develop quickly. Fortunately, insurance happened to be
the one. It has grown to become my career passion.
What has been the highlight of your career so far?
To combine my academic training and character skills to enabled
me to excel and reach the position I have today. With interpersonal
communication skills and problem-solving capacities, I was able
to create and mentor generations of support staff that were
essential to the business growth I have contributed to.
What has been the biggest challenge you have encountered?
Working in a relatively new field in the Middle East where
the culture is more conservative, so breaking the so-called
‘glass ceiling’ was a tough challenge. I hope I can participate in
leading the way for more women from my culture to similar
If you had chosen a different profession/career path, what
would it have been?
Poet Gibran Khalil Gibran said: ‘If Lebanon was not my country,
I would have chosen it to be’. Likewise I say, if insurance was not
my path, I would switch and make it my career.
