We hold fun events for club members and others who would like to participate and there is always an opportunity for new people to come and play with the horses. We have minis involved in community work, therapy work, fun, and serious showing. There is nothing like seeing someone experience handling a mini for the first time. We are a club that supports each other, shares expertise and helps out in whatever way we can so that everyone can participate. Our goal with our year end awards was to offer an incentive for members to promote not only our club but for our members to go out and support other clubs as well. The more our minis are out there, the more we can promote the breed! The club has always had a yearend dinner and we thought that since many of our members are active in our and other horse clubs as well as community organizations that we should recognize them in some way, while encouraging more people to join the club officially. We have also begun to have more organized events put on by the club such as clinics with top trainers, fun clinics highlighting our member expertise (and we have some talent in our membership!), and practice days where we can coach and learn from each other. We are working hard to get more youth involved and aim most of our activities at that age group. The awards the club will offer this year are based on participation, volunteering and involvement. To win an award, a club member must earn 1000 points between (March 8, 2013) and the yearend awards dinner in December. The criteria is as follows: ■ 100 points accrued per club event or meeting ■ 1 point accrued per dollar of funds raised or in-kind donation ■ 100 points accrued per hour for volunteering at club events ■ 100 points accrued for supporting other clubs by attending their events, shows, etc. ■ 100 points accrued for bringing in new members Award winners receive an award (TBD), and a group photo of winners will appear on our Facebook group and club websites. We are excited about the show season and hope out incentive for a yearend award will keep our members busy and pumped about their Miniature horses!   TryQuiessence® Visit our website at: N U T R I T I O N T H A T W O R K S www.FoxdenEquine.com
