Many restaurants do not offer multiple options on healthful dishes, if any. But, in Downtown Flint, on the bricks, lies (Lead-Free) 501 Bar & Grill, offering a made-from-scratch menu that includes Small Plates, Salads, Burgers, and Entrees to satisfy the palate of the pickiest of eaters. Speaking of “picky,” 501 has proudly announced that they are switching their supplier of burgers and steaks to Hoffman’s meats, whose meats are locally raised, grass fed, and without any hormones. 501 offers a range of dishes and unique recipes, including ones specific for Vegan and/or Gluten-Free diets. Almost anything on their menu can be made into either of those options, too, within reason. Executive Chef John Turner strives to keep patrons happy and will accommodate many requests. If the ingredients are there, he can make it happen. With options like the Traverse City Cherry Salad and the Spicy Shrimp
