www.gae.org | 31 SPECIAL ELECTION NOTICE Special Election Notice to Fill District 2 Director Vacancies In accordance with GAE Bylaw 5-9, a., the GAE will hold a special election to fill two District 2 Director vacancies through a special election to be conducted online in May 2015. These two vacancies exist because there were an insufficient number of candidates that ran in the regular election. These will be three-year terms positions. Candidates for these District Director positions shall submit nominations to the GAE Executive Director no later than April 15, 2015 on the official nomination form. Candidates for District Director shall be non-supervisory Active Certified or Active Educational Support members. Members who are elected to serve in these District Director positions shall begin their term at the close of the NEA RA. Nomination Procedure Candidates for GAE District 2 Director Special Election must use the official nomination form available on the GAE website or in the official publication. The nomination should be mailed or transmitted directly to the office of the Executive Director. GAE will not accept responsibility for non-receipt of nominations addressed to any other person or office at GAE. Nomination forms for GAE District Director must be postmarked or transmitted no later than April 15th. Candidates who wish to submit a statement (up to 250 words) and photo for GAE’s publication and/or website may submit them with the nomination form by mail, or may email them (preferably) directly to herby.agnew@gae.org. Candidate Statements exceeding the 250-word limit will be edited to delete all words following the 250th word.
