In 97 per cent of the cases, in my
experience, patients eventually will get
some type of secondary cancer that is
stronger then the first. Chemo tames
the beast by putting it into remission, if
you are lucky, but it usually comes back
stronger and more aggressive the next
time. From my understanding – as told to
us by a doctor at MD Anderson – there are
eight different kinds of chemo, and most
patients don’t live long enough to see the
eighth, as the chemo ravages the body
just like the cancer itself does. And most
people will die from the chemo before
they do the cancer.
Chemotherapy damages healthy cells,
which can make them secrete a protein
(WNT16B) which could actually protect
the cancer cells and cause tumors to be
resistant to future chemo treatments.
Russ and I came under the conviction that
we needed to educate ourselves. “Quality
of life” with chemo, became a relative
term in our eyes. I had my faith which
gave me hope that we could beat it. After
coming to the decision that a naturopathic
approach was the right decision for me,
we decided on the Gerson Therapy.
It was the only treatment that made sense
for me to take; it has been around for
decades, and has had a successful cure
rate even for terminally ill patients. It is
based on the knowledge and scientific
findings of the German-born doctor Dr.
Dr.Gerson suffered from severe migraine
headaches as a child, and he formulated
his diet to cure his migraines. The
regimen was successful. A patient of his
who followed the “migraine diet” years
later discovered that it cured her skin
tuberculosis (“Cutaneous TB”). Dr.Gerson
eventually published his findings on skin
tuberculosis and his diet’s effects on it, in
medical journals across the world.
Later, through his work with tuberculosis,
he met Albert Schweitzer, the Nobel-
Prize winning doctor, missionary,
Lutheran pastor, noted organist, author,
and missionary to Africa. He cured Dr.
Schweitzer’s wife Helene of her lung
tuberculosis after she spent nine months
on the Gerson diet.

Later Dr Schweitzer called on his friend
for help at the age of 75 for his own
challenge, adult diabetes. He was cured
of it and lived past the age of 90, still
performing his humanitarian medical and
missionary work in Africa, the basis of his
Nobel Peace Prize.
What I have learned in the two and a
half years of researching the best ways
to battle cancer in a naturopathic way
• Juice for the fresh healing enzymes
with certain fresh organic fruits and
vegetables, daily – approximately
every hour. Orange, grapefruit, carrot
– pressed, no air allowed in through
processing. Chard, romaine, arugula,
endive, green apple, beets, purple
cabbage, green pepper for green drinks.
• It’s a must to do coffee enemas, to rid
your body of toxins that is now being
released from juicing.
• Most cancer patients are depleted of
vitamin D, and should take 10,000 IU a
day. This also is a great prevention tool.
Vitamin A also is important but acquired
through the carrot juice.
• Women should take a Selenium
supplement every day. This simple
routine can cut a woman’s chance of
getting breast cancer by 35 percent.
• Take a Tablespoon of Flaxseed oil daily.
It has great cancer-fighting qualities.
Refer to the book A Day In the Budwig
Diet by Dr.Johanna Budwig, a German
biochemist who understood the
tremendous healing powers of Omega-3
fatty acids and their effect on fighting
cancer. She had a 90 percent success
rate with her 2400 patients over a
50-year period and many varieties of
cancer. She was a 7 time Nobel prize
nominee who like Dr. Gerson, offered
a low cost cure for cancer for which the
medical establishment did not like. The
central committee for cancer research
took her to court but she won with the
judge stating: “Dr. Budwig’s documents
and papers are conclusive.” She won
30 other court cases that followed but
it took up valuable time away from
her research. you can learn more on
Dr.Budwig’s protocol through her DVD’s:
• Eliminate fast foods, salts, sugars,
hydrogenated oils, and preservatives
from your diet. (Ironically, most
chemotherapy facilities have bowls of
candy on their reception desks, despite
that fact that they ought to know that
sugars feeds cancer!)
• “Hippocrates Soup”: potatoes, carrots,
leeks – root vegetables – daily.
• No oils! Except for flaxseed oil, cold
pressed (as for use in salads).
• No meats! No animal by-products
• Eliminate fluoride from your water and
toothpaste! Get good filters on your
sinks and shower heads.
• I also drink a tea called Essiac Tea every
night. Look it up online, and read about
the tea’s advocate Rene Caisse.
• Mild exercise
