PLAYGROUND RULES K-12 1. Comply immediately and respectfully to directions given by all staff members. 2. Refrain from discourteous behavior or profane language. 3. Proceed immediately to line-up area when the appropriate signal is given. 4. Fighting, hurting, or threatening others will result in office referral 5. Equipment will be shared and used properly. 6. Play in designated areas only. 7. Play all games according to the rules; students do not make the rules. 8. The restrooms should be used during recess only. 9. No food or drinks, (other than water) is allowed on the playgrounds. 10. Students should not interrupt or walk through a play activity or game. 11. Football is not allowed 12. Playing tag is not allowed 13. Hands and feet are for throwing, hitting, or kicking balls, not each other! DISCIPLINE PROCEDURES K-12 Any violation of our school campus and classroom rules, policies, and procedures may result in a “Discipline Referral” in the event that the classroom teacher or yard duty personnel are unable to correct the student behavior. The referral will be generated from Administration and sent home with the student for parents/guardians to sign and return with the student the following day. If a student is required to write standards or miss recess as a referral consequence, those standards will be written under office supervision during the students next scheduled recess time. When a student is given a consequence of In-School Detention, or an Out of School Suspension, parents/guardians will be notified through the referral process and/or a phone call and the student will satisfy those consequences the following day. 27 DISCIPLINE REFERRAL PROCEDURES K-12 All referrals must be signed by parents/guardians and returned the following day to the student’s teacher. Failure to do so may result in automatic suspension. *A student will be sent to the office with a referral as a result of two or more tried and failed attempts by classroom teachers or campus staff to correct student behavior.  1st Office Referral – 50 Standards to be written during class or recess times. Mandatory parent meeting with teacher and Administration before the child will regain recess privileges (K-6 only).  2nd Office Referral - 100 Standards to be written during class or recess times until finished.  3rd Office Referral - In-School Suspension, loss of all school privileges/activities.  4th Office Referral - Out of School Suspension. SUSPENSION PROCEDURES K-12 When a student is suspended out of school, parents/guardians are notified by the school office staff on the day of the offense. The student must go home immediately and the suspension is for the following day.  1st suspension, 1 day  2nd suspension, 3 days  3rd suspension, 5 days, with recommendation for expulsion hearing.
