2) Use as evidence in a student discipline proceeding if possession of the contraband constitutes a ground for suspension or expulsion under CA Ed. Code and/or rules in this handbook 3) Delivery to the appropriate law enforcement officials for prosecution purposes if possession of the 25 contraband constitutes evidence of a crime. 8. INVOLVEMENT OF LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICIALS A. The executive director or designee, may request the assistance of law enforcement officials to assist the school administrators in inspecting lockers or their contents for purposes of enforcing school policies only if such assistance is required: 1) Identify substances which may be found in the lockers; or 2) To protect the health and safety of persons or property, such as to aid in the discovery and disarming of bombs which may be located in the lockers. B. The executive director or designee may request a locker inspection to be performed for school purposes if information supplied by law enforcement officials gives rise to a reasonable suspicion that a locker or lockers contains contraband. 9. LOCKER CLEANING Nothing in these rules shall affect members of the custodial staff, who at the direction of a supervisor, clean out: A. Lockers from time to time in accordance with a general housekeeping schedule, or B. The locker of the student no longer enrolled in the school. 10. PUBLICATION OF RULES A copy for each students of these rules is provided to each student and his/her parents or guardian. Copies of the rules shall be posted in the Main office and other prominent places generally used for announcements to students. STUDENT INSURANCE K-12 In as much as accidents do occur at school, and in as much as the school, by law, CANNOT pay medical expenses incurred as a result of such accidents, we recommend the student accident insurance policy that is available for your consideration. Our only purpose in providing this information is to render a service to parents and students. While we feel this protection is essential, acceptance of the plan is entirely voluntary. Please contact the school should you have any questions regarding student accident insurance. BUS TRANSPORTATION K-12 Bus transportation will not be provided at this time to and from school. Bus transportation may be available for field trips and sporting events. SCHOOL LUNCH K-12 The Guidance Charter School and the National School Lunch Program, will provide breakfast and lunch for all students. Parents/guardians must complete the parent income and expense application for eligibility for free or reduced lunch at our school. BREAKFAST AND LUNCH COSTS: K-12 Breakfast $2.00 K-12 Lunch $3.50
