Three of the reasons why your next mixer should be a HYMIX. What can HYMIX innovation can do for you? Find us online at www.hymix.com or call us on 01952 200900 33 P - Series Key Option DRUM MOUTH FLAP Reducing the Chance of Spillage with Fluid Loads The P - Series machine now features an even bigger drum, a full cubic metre bigger, and right down at the front where it really counts. Nevertheless, self levelling products can take some stopping when a wave develops under heavy braking, and you may want the extra peace of mind when tackling the long steep hill with a pumping mix on board. The Hymix drum flap could be the answer you are looking for. Simple and light in weight, the flap is opened and closed from the rear ground level control station. Power is from the truck’s air system, delivered by a double acting aluminium cylinder. Clever geometry lifts the flap into a near horizontal position allowing excellent visibility from slump platforms and rear of plant batch cabins. At the same time though, the nearside element is fixed to the drop arm leaving space for effective discharge of tighter slumps. The image shows the drum flap fitted with the new Hymix cut away discharge hopper that lets the flap open fully and allows wash water to be jetted in behind the drum flap for effective cleaning of the drum mouth and rear blades. HYMIX Innovation - Simple/Effective/Better Another example of Relevant Innovation P - Series Key Option SAFETY CLEAN Powered Swing Out Hopper Initially conceived as a method to improve visibility into the drum allowing safe visual verification of concrete slump; it was immediately recognised that the more frequent application would be safer and more effective washing of the rear blades and the loading hopper. The blades in the drum mouth are the hardest to keep clean and yet they have the biggest influence on discharge performance. With the loading hopper fixed, access to these blades is difficult and time consuming at best but, with the hopper swung out horizontally, washing from the ground or the ladder platform becomes quick easy and safe. This unique innovation has key advantages over the lift-up system as horizontal movement requires less force allowing for lower cost, lighter components to be used. Controlled from the ladder platform, the operation is so simple and quick, it can be performed as a matter of routine. Clean Blades = Faster Discharge = Less Time & Less Fuel Easy Safe Cleaning = A Better Working Day = A Happy Effective Worker Another example of Relevant Innovation Hopper in Open Position Excellent Access to Drum Mouth and Blades P - Series Key Option SITE WASH SYSTEM Environmental Solution for Sensitive Job Sites There have always been occasions when washing off is simply not practical, but modern job sites are increasingly unable to provide space and facilities for washing off after concrete delivery. This can be frustrating for any operator, and can be a major factor in letting build up get a grip on your machine. Site Wash System from Hymix provides a solution. After delivering the load: • Hang spare chutes in their frames and wash into tray below. • Position the pan chute over the wash water collection tray. • Wash drum mouth and hoppers through pan chute and into wash tray then wash and stow pan chute. • On return to plant remove aggregate screen and return any stone to the bin. • Drain slurry tank - options include an air operated valve, manual valve or the Hymix Easy Washtm tank. The slurry tank - features 3 removable covers for inspection and clearing any blockages.
