FOODWeek2017

1 It is with great joy and excitement that we move into our 26th year of F.O.O.D Week. A small committee of nine are both passionate and dedicated to their roles — promoting our region of Orange and showcasing the region’s food, wine, food producers, wineries, restaurants, chefs, caterers and cooks. F.O.O.D Week would not be possible without the many volunteers and supporters and of course, you, the visitor. We are proud to be evolving F.O.O.D Week into a truly sustainable festival. In 2015 we composted all 28,000 knives, forks, plates, bowls, cups and serviettes from the Forage event. 2017 is the United Nations International Year of Sustainable Tourism for Development and we will continue to expand our composting, recycling and reusing to further the environmental sustainability. We look forward to your support with recycling and composting at our events. In my 25 years in Orange, I have never seen the town so progressive and positive about food and wine and the overall hospitality in every sector whether it be at farmgates, the butcher, produce shops, cafes, restaurants and many other food outlets. We who live here know ‘every week is food and wine week’ — please enjoy your time here and come back often.
