Volunteers, corporate underwriting and community donations were pivotal to our success. With widespread support of our community, we accepted the Challenge and won. Finally, in 2014 we incorporated a new 501(c)(3) charitable supporting organization—our loyal companion, the Friends of Foothills Animal Shelter. Standing by our side, our new companion Board of Directors is sure to enhance our programs and services as they work to raise funds to support medical services, kennel care, animal enrichment, foster care, adoptions and humane education. Compassionate hearts, healing hands and skilled practitioners saved over 9,300 animals in just one year alone at Foothills Animal Shelter. The power of our staff and volunteers to change a sad or painful life into one of health and hope is remarkable. With our community by our side, Foothills Animal Shelter remains a beacon of hope for homeless and fragile animals. Thank you for being there. Thank you for caring! With heartfelt appreciation, Heather Cameron Executive Director Jefferson County and each city served by Foothills Animal Shelter are represented by one leader who sits on our Board of Directors.
