I ended up resigning from my job a week later and began my own personal journey of seeking wealth and freedom. As I began to trust myself, I was able to develop a seven-figure business focused around helping people with the strategies it takes to do the same. We are constantly being told that as entrepreneurs, we must be constantly getting out of our comfort zones. Why is that a powerful practice and how can we start to do it? As entrepreneurs we are constantly faced with making decisions – many of which are outside of our comfort zones. And it’s often these uncomfortable decisions that would bring our businesses the most success and create the most wealth. Our comfort zone can be like an electric doggy 25 | SavvyBizWomen fence—inside is safe and comfortable, it’s what we know. Outside of the fence is the unknown, a mystery that we haven’t experienced. As we attempt to go beyond the fence thoughts like ‘I can’t do this, ___ will happen’ or ‘I’m not good enough’ may come up. Too often we are electrocuted by these thoughts, and we retreat back inside our fences. This is why it’s easier to NOT choose this change! But when did we learn that taking the easier path is the direction we should go? There is a difference between presence of choice and easy—for example, it may be easier to ‘just get a job,’ than to grow a business. Just because a new creation is a big mystery doesn’t mean that it is dangerous.
