Natalia Gulyaeva

Natalia Gulyaeva joined Hogan Lovells in 2000
and since 2004 has headed the firm’s intellectual
property, media and technology practice in Moscow.
She advises her clients on all aspects of contentious
and non-contentious work, and handles IP dispute
resolution, portfolio management, strategic
counselling, transactional work and regulatory
advice. Her notable cases include representing
Johnson & Johnson in patent disputes and 21st
Century Fox in copyright disputes.
DJ Healey
SENIOR PRINCIPAL, FISH &
RICHARDSON, US
Over the past 32 years, DJ Healey has founded
and run her own firm, started the Texas patent
litigation practice of Weil, Gotshal & Manges,
and opened Fish & Richardson’s Houston office.
Healey represents clients across a range of sectors,
including electrical, computer technology, energy
and petrochemical, manufacturing, software,
and medical devices. She has appeared before
federal district courts and she acted as co-counsel
on a recent patent case at the US Supreme
Court. Alongside her IP practice, Healey has an
active pro-bono caseload spanning immigration
and civil rights matters and she works with
Immigration Equality, an LGBTQ immigrant
rights organisation.
Lilian Hesselink
DUTCH & EUROPEAN PATENT
ATTORNEY, DE VRIES & METMAN,
NETHERLANDS
Lilian Hesselink joined De Vries & Metman in
2007, and now heads the firm’s chemistry and
life sciences group. She handles patent matters
for clients including universities, startups, and
national and multinational chemical companies,
as well as assisting clients in the pharmaceutical
field with litigation. Hesselink recently acted for
Teva in a nullity action at the Dutch Court of
Appeal relating to a patent covering tiotropium
bromide, a treatment for lung diseases. Before
joining the firm, Hesselink worked at AkzoNobel,
a multinational company which creates paints
and performance coatings. She is treasurer of the
Dutch group of AIPPI.
Eun Hwa Choi
CO-MANAGING PARTNER, FIRSTLAW
PC, SOUTH KOREA
Eun Hwa Choi is one of two co-managing
partners at FirstLaw, a South Korean IP firm
based in Seoul. Choi was admitted to the Korean
Patent Bar in 1992 and the New York State Bar
in 1999, having gained scientific qualifications
at the Seoul National University and the Korea
Advanced Institute of Science and Technology
before achieving her juris doctor from Boston
University. Before practising law, Choi worked
as a research scientist in genetic engineering,
and she now assists clients in the chemical,
biotechnology, and pharmaceutical sectors with
the filing, registration, and maintenance of their
patent rights.
Christine Kanz
PARTNER, HOYNG ROKH MONEGIER,
GERMANY
Christine Kanz has worked as an attorney since
1998. Although she has primarily focused on
international patent litigation in the areas of
pharmaceuticals, biotechnology and chemistry,
she has also handled numerous cases in the areas
of medical devices, mechanics and consumer
products. Much of her work involves crossborder
litigation with the result that she is
highly experienced in handling and coordinating
such cases.
Omolara Kayode
FOUNDING PARTNER, O KAYODE &
CO, NIGERIA
Omolara Kayode was admitted as a barrister
and solicitor at the Supreme Court of Nigeria in
1992 and is the founding partner at O Kayode
& Co. She achieved her LLM at the University
of Buckingham in the UK and completed her
LLM at the Queen Mary University of London
in 1994. In 2014, she was appointed as notary
public in Nigeria. Kayode has experience in all
areas of intellectual property law and is a member
of INTA, where she currently chairs the Asia and
Africa subcommittee of the Unreal Campaign.
