Janice Bereskin
PARTNER, BERESKIN & PARR,
CANADA
Janice Bereskin is a partner with Bereskin & Parr
and a co-leader of the firm’s trademarks practice
group. Her practice focuses on Canadian and
international trademarks. She has in-depth
experience in search analysis, filing applications,
oppositions and cancellation proceedings.
Bereskin manages large trademark portfolios
of Canadian and international companies and
offers clients strategic advice for protecting
and managing their trademarks in Canada and
abroad. As an active member of INTA, Bereskin
has served on its board of directors and cochaired
an INTA Presidential Task Force. In 2015,
INTA honoured her with the volunteer service
award in the advancement of the association.
Currently, Bereskin is a member of the leadership
development committee.
Nola Bond
DIRECTOR, KISCH IP, SOUTH AFRICA
Nola Bond is a director and the head of the
trademark department at Kisch IP. With more
than 26 years of experience in intellectual
property, Bond is able to provide the full scope
of trademark services to clients from prosecution
through to enforcement. She is also experienced in
copyright law, domain name disputes, advertising
law and portfolio management. She is an attorney
of the High Court of South Africa and a qualified
trademark practitioner. She is also a member
of the South African Institute for Intellectual
Property Law and an appointed domain name
dispute adjudicator for the .co.za domain. She is
a regular INTA attendee and member of PTMG.
Virginia Carron
PARTNER, FINNEGAN, US
For the past two decades Virginia Carron has
practised IP law out of Finnegan’s Atlanta,
Georgia office. She is now the firm’s managing
partner in Atlanta, where her work focuses on
patent and trademark counselling and litigation.
In addition to her litigation work, Carron advises
clients on IP licensing and related transactions.
She has particular expertise in the consumer
products industry, having represented food and
beverage brands, chemical companies, and cigar
manufacturers. She is currently representing
Nestlé in multiple inter partes reviews involving
patents covering foodstuff packaging.
Ana Castañeda

Ana Castañeda is an attorney-at-law with a
technical background as an electronic engineer
and founder of C&L Attorneys. She has
experience in all areas of intellectual property
law. She specialises in trademarks, such as search
opinions, filing, prosecution, and renewal of
registrations, in Mexico and Latin America.
Castañeda also has experience in patents,
including searching, drafting specifications, filing
and prosecuting applications, maintaining patent
rights after grant, providing opinions, as well as
filing applications under international treaties
including the PCT. She is a member of INTA, LES,
and is the founder of the Mexican Association of
Entrepreneurial Women.
Karin Cederlund
PARTNER, SANDART & PARTNERS,
SWEDEN
Karin Cederlund specialises in intellectual
property and advertising law. She focuses her
experience on litigation and the drafting and
negotiating of contracts within these areas. For
several years, Cederlund has been a member of
the board of the Swedish Association for the
Protection of Intellectual Property and on the
board of the Institute of Intellectual Property
and Marketing Law at the Stockholm University.
Cederlund has been an expert in the Swedish
legislative committees on copyright. She achieved
her LLM from Stockholm University in 1992 and
also has an MBA from the Stockholm School
of Economics. She is a member of the Swedish
Bar Association, INTA, LES, and the Swedish
Copyright Association.
Dale Cendali
PARTNER, KIRKLAND & ELLIS, US
Dale Cendali is a partner at Kirkland & Ellis and
the head of its copyright, trademark, internet and
advertising group. During her 30-year career, she
has counselled clients on disputes involving all
forms of intellectual property, and has litigated
some of the most high-profile cases in the country.
Among her litigation experiences, she has argued
before the US Supreme Court, procured and
defeated multiple injunction requests, and won
numerous cases on summary judgment and
at trial. Of note, she won the well-publicised
‘Lexicon’ fair use case for her long-time client
J.K. Rowling. She also is an adjunct professor at
Harvard Law School, where she teaches copyright
and trademark litigation.
