2016 L.I.B.T. Rules & Regulations 1. Registration is by boat not by angler. Any change or transfer to another boat must be made prior to 8:00 a.m. each day of fishing and notice must be communicated to Kim Kirk 609-412-0641. 2. One representative from each boat (Captain, Mate or Angler) MUST be present at the Captain’s Meeting. 3. Each fishing day is captain’s choice. Participants enter tournament at own risk and discretion and accept full responsibility for their boat, crew and anglers. 4. No more than 6 anglers per boat. 5. Each boat is allowed to fish a maximum of 3 days. 6. Boats must declare a non-fishing day by 8AM each day the boat is not fishing to Kim Kirk 609-412-0641. 7. Boats not reporting by 8AM will be declared “fishing” that day 8. Fishing hours are 6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. each day. Weigh-in is at official weigh stations until 7:00 p.m. 9. Any fish hooked prior to 3:00 p.m. may be played until boated but must be available for weigh in by 7:00 p.m. 10. Any fish not available for weigh-in by 7:00 p.m. for any reason other than a drawbridge malfunction or line at scale of fish to be weighed in will not be counted. 11. Participants are assumed to have all necessary permits, licenses and/or registration required by law. Licenses and/or registrations are acquired by all tournament participants. It is not the responsibility of the tournament officials or directors to verify that participants have all required permits. Failure of a winning angler to have any or all required permits, licenses and/or registrations shall not be the basis for a protest to be filed under the General Tournament Rules, or for a fish to be disqualified. State of NJ registration can be completed at: http://www.nj.gov/dep/saltwaterregistry 12. No refunds of fees, for any cause, will be made. 13. The official weigh master at each location will serve as judge. Their decision shall be final. 14. A protest may only be filed by an angler, crew member or tournament director. All protests must be in writing and include the angler(s) name and a contact number. It must contain a detailed description of the protest matter and include any supporting evidence available. It must be signed by the protesting angler(s), crew member and emailed to the tournament director at fish- LIBT@hotmail.com. No protest will be accepted after Wednesday June 22nd at 7:00 p.m. 15. We reserve the right to disqualify any boat or fish AT ANY TIME at the discretion of the LIBT Executive Board should it be made known that any of the above rules and regulations were violated.
